Hello everyone. Hopefully there remains some people on this forum who will remember who I am but unfortunately am not sure if that is the case. But anyway a quick introduction. I joined the Void server back in early 2007 as -[VLF]-Titan which I stayed with for a good number of months before joining the reformed Alliance of Freelancers led by Geromix in October 2007. Since then I became one of the few surviving leaders of that reformed AoF and played a large number of games with AoF as well as other groups after I left the Void around late 2008 - early 2009. But anyway today am here representing the AoF gaming community and making an announcement regarding our branch here on the Void.
Firstly I feel it is required I say a few words regarding the Void and AoF on the Void. We've been around at some level on the Void since AoF was founded I believe by a member named DiabloX, I never did meet the original founder nor was he around in my time on the Void so I am not sure of the exact name. AoF was founded on November 26th 2006 and has like the Void went through its' high points and also went through low points yet even now in 2011 we are still here just like I see the Void still remains. Unfortunely today we only hold a few of our long term members who have been in AoF for years and some even from around the founding. We once played across multiple online games and had a strong presence on the Void but unfortunately we became stagnent and we only hold onto one very successful branch in the browser game Ikariam.
I can not nor will I attempt to speak on the years the Void has lasted as compared to other Void members and even my comrades in AoF I simply have not spent the same amount of time or effort on the Void as others. From this it would be wrong for me to pass judgement so instead of concentrating on this particular period and recent events that I have heard of I will instead look back on the glory days of the Void and give hope that perhaps just like AoF there will be a bright future for the Void still. This server and mod have seen some excellent times and am proud to say I have had some of the best times of my online gaming experience on the server not just with the AoF or VLF but with some many people of the community from many backgrounds. I've seen the DTA ruthlessly hold gates in Alexandria, I've PvP'ed countless times with players in Sparta, I've explored the distant systems of the Void with my AoF brothers, I've fought off pirate attacks both successfully and unsuccessfully against AoF [T] convoys and I've fought with and against many clans such as Syndicate, Black Legion, Marauders, 4S Squad, RAF and there are many more I could name as well as notable individuals but am afraid my memory would fail to mention all who deserve it.
But here I am as a representative of the Alliance of Freelancers to make an announcement we never wished to do but have decided was required in order to create a great future.

I would like to take this time to quickly explain why we felt it required to come on here and make this announcement. It's quite simply due to the fact that our Void branch has been completely inactive for quite sometime. As to my knowledge Comfort has stopped playing and unfortunately Hash/Albert has went MIA while we have no other active AoF members on here. It was decided by our leadership that we owed it to this server to officially announce our disbandment, send our best wishes and to give our association the end it deserved.
However this is not the end at all, like the Void we carry on and have great plans for our future which are currently underway right now. This announcement itself is in fact part of a reformation of the AoF and was part of our phase of closing inactive game groups. We would all love to hear from any Void members if you wish to contact us to say hello or to check out what we are doing. Feel free to pass on any messages through me by posting below or post on our forum at http://aof-association.forumotion.com/.
So I would like to thank EVERYONE who has ever played a part in the AoF or interacted with the AoF on this server and I want to thank you all for the great times I had here. We at the AoF send our best wishes and hope that the Void will remain worthy of such a past and even make itself a great future if the community so wishes. Remember it is up to you! I did have a small list of names I wanted to mention but hell... it just wouldn't be fair to the ones I forget so kudos to everyone again!

On 7th July 2011 a vote was made by a group of five senior AoF leaders in regards to our inactive Void gaming branch. This group of five, all of which have served under AoF on this server made the decision to officially disband the Alliance of Freelancers Void branch.
So as the appointed representative I declare the Alliance of Freelancers association officially disbanded on the 19th July 2011.
A glorious flight of the Phoenix from November 26th 2006 - July 19th 2011.
